About Be Safe Online

What is Be Safe Online?

Be Safe Online is first and foremost about keeping our children safe online.

We'll give you the tools to help you learn more about managing the risks associated with connecting online.

As a parent in today’s technology-driven society, it has never been more crucial to learn how your children connect and identify the risks they face when they’re online. With three children of our own, we know this all too well.

Be Safe Online teaches you how to implement your own safety rules for your children.
We’re not about giving you advice on how to raise your children, but our aim is to provide support so you can build your own values into their online social activities.

Ultimately, our goal is to help you teach your children to be critical thinkers and behave responsibly and safely online.

Parent talks are now available in the Geelong area and Melbourne. Book a session via our website or message us on this page.

Keep your children safe from cyber-bullying and predators!

Founder Be Safe Online

Hello, I’m Eva Wickham, founder of Be Safe Online.  Thanks for taking the time to learn more about how we can help you protect your children when they are connecting on line.

With my background in Business Website and Mobile App Development, together with my passion for cyber safety within my own family and importantly the support of my husband, my children and dear family and friends, Be Safe Online was born.  After years of offering my support to those close to me now was the time to share my tips and resources with you and your family, to create awareness of cyber safety and a better understanding of the risks to children when connecting online.

Our first child was born before facebook and even before high speed internet – and I dare say even portable DVDs were not a household item.  A baby born into a world of limited technology and little did I know that before she finished primary school, she would be online and connecting with the world – and I most definitely had no idea the dangers that were to come with this new technology.

Now with three children from preschool, to primary and high school, technology has most definitely changed the way we parent our children.  We are not only trying to raise our babies through the traditionally challenging toddler tantrums to teen know it all years but we now have to keep up to date with the latest technology and cyber safety risks that can impact our children’s education and unknown long term effects that technology will have on them as adults.

We are here to support you with your concerns about how your family are connecting online.  Our goal is to help you teach your children to be critical thinkers and behave responsibly and safely online thrrough our clear and simple resources from our website, social media to our parental cyber safety talks and workshops,

Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you have about your keeping your kids safe online via our Be Safe Online Contact page.
